When I Met You In Summer

This cold spell has us dreaming of warmer days with Calvin Harris in our heads…so, for this real wedding feature, we are going back to a beautiful and sunny day in June for Heather and Justin’s magical Summer wedding at Rustic Acres Farm.

Ivory and pink were the predominant colors throughout the evening and teal accents were woven throughout to deliver an undeniably romantic edge to the décor. A dreamy outdoor ceremony took place under our enchanting weeping willow tree on a gorgeous summer day. Mason jars of luscious floral lined the aisle and the bridesmaids carried beautiful bouquets made of hand tied mixed floral wrapped with silky light pink ribbon.

The outdoor ceremony was followed by a festive cocktail hour with Savor Fresh Catering. A classic appetizer display was served and guests enjoyed an assortment of cheeses, fresh crudité and our famous mini Sonora pulled pork tacos served with salsa fresco as well as chili lime shrimp served in wonton cups. Refreshments included Savor’s housemade white sangria and peach iced tea were served in urns.

The natural beauty of the farm was enhanced with effortless floral. The barn was garnished with an eclectic mix of vintage glass vases from Anthropology filled with soft, luscious floral by Garnish Event Design. The couple also incorporated a few personal pieces into the décor as well.

Guests feasted on a family style gourmet dinner on the deck. The customized menu featured spicy peach BBQ Gerber Amish Farms chicken breast, merlot shallot braised beef short ribs, tomato basil raviolini salad, mashed Yukon potatoes a garden salad and homestyle biscuits.

Warm breezes, cool hues, and love all around made for a picture-perfect day. We are so honored to have been part of this simply elegant Summer wedding.
