Time flies when you’re having fun…

July 1, 2010

May came in with a flurry of proms, First Holy Communions and bridal showers….keeping with the eye candy that makes events come alive, we’ll stick with a picture heavy blog of some of the month’s highlights to catch you up on where we have been out and about.

MONITEAU SCHOOL PROM

Cakes, cakes, and cupcakes…

OPERA WESTERN RESERVE at STAMBAUGH AUDITORIUM

With a menu of artisan cheeses, stationary and butlered appetizers, as well as sweet endings and beverages, the fundraising arm of the Opera Western Reserve celebrated in the main ballroom of the Stambaugh Auditorium.

  • THE BLIND ASSOCIATION OF BUTLER COUNTY
  • NURSES ALUMNI BANQUET

Both events were held at The Grand Ballroom.  First up, the nurses alumni enjoyed a seated dinner of almondine tilapia or stuffed breast of chicken with herbed red skin potatoes and green beans.  A miniature fruit and custard tart with fresh whipped creme and organic seasonal berries was the perfect sweet ending.

Guests of the Blind Association enjoyed a display of artisan cheeses and moved into a seated duo-plated dinner of Filet of Sirloin and Asiago Florentine Tilapia with roasted fingerling potatoes and petite carrots. The banquet ended on a sweet note with our famous JPC cream cheese poundcake with farm fresh organic berries and fresh whipped creme.

The Cypher- Charlton Wedding

Also held at The Grand Ballroom, this elegant platinum package wedding featured a gold and white color palate with a tiffany blue accent.  Chaircovers with gold organza sashes graced the guest tables set with gold charger plates, and elegant centerpieces by Bortmas Florist.

Appetizers of artichoke and parmesan beggar’s purses, chicken dijon in puff pastry, fig and marscapone tarts and spanakopeta triangles were butlered by JPC event staff.  Dinner was served duo-plate sit down with florentine crusted salmon filet, gorgonzola beef filet, basil whipped mashed potatoes and baby carrot with honey and dill.  A gourmet cookie display baked and displayed by JPC was also featured as part of the amazing all-inclusive wedding package.

A pearlescent hexagon wedding cake with quilting, edible pearls and a gumpaste floral was served in the luscious chocolate fudge with raspberry truffle flavor profile.

Best wishes to Sandy and Dennis!

The Shultz Wedding

Last, but certainly not least, check out the following KDKA News link for a video feature of the Penguin’s loving bride and groom that we celebrated with on May 30th!  A memorial day-esque feast of barbecued short ribs with Kansas City barbecue sauce and cheddar mashed potatoes!  Along with a black and gold wedding cake designed by the bride and created by Jody.

That wraps up some of our May 2010 highlights…check back soon for a bevy of beautiful June weddings, and a host of delicious corporate gatherings too!
