His equipment is top notch, and he offers the upgraded service of high-quality lighting as well. We really can’t recommend David enough– he is tops in our book!
What inspired you to become a DJ?
I have always had a passion for music and what the power of music can do in a room filled with people. Music can jump start a party, enhance or create an atmosphere, transform emotions and moods, provide motivation and trigger fond memories. With music being such a powerful tool, I loved how I could use this tool to bring a group of people together and truly create a celebration!
What is your favorite part of what you do?
One of the best parts of being a DJ is the opportunity to work directly with couples planning the biggest celebration and most memorable day of their lives. I welcome every opportunity to hear my client’s story as a couple and strive to truly understand their vision of their dream wedding reception. When it comes to wedding event, nothing is more fulfilling to me than to fully execute their wishes and pack the dancefloor with their family and friends.

Describe your DJ services to someone who has never experienced one of your events. Describe the couple that will love you.
It is our belief that weddings and celebratory events should leave you and your guests with a memorable and amazing experience! There are many steps that we take to ensure your event is outstanding. We personally sit down with each client to truly understand their personal musical vision and ideas for their day. We provide our clients with an online virtual event planner and a music request portal that allows them to create “play” and “do not play” music lists. This event planner even allows our clients to preview music and search through our filtered categories for appropriate music for their first dance, cake cutting, and other traditional components of a wedding reception. During the event, our dress and demeanor is completely professional and our equipment is sleek and high-quality. As seen in our customer reviews and referrals, it is our unique quality of providing the highest level of customer service and creative disc jockey skills that sets us apart from the rest of our competition. We are so proud of the remarkable entertainment experiences that we have created in the past and vow to continue this success at each and every event that we work with in the future. Our passion is for this business and it shows in every interaction. Couples that select our service are those who truly want to make their wedding remarkable.
What is the most popular first dance song?
The most popular first dance song for the start of the 2014 wedding season is “All of Me” by John Legend. It’s getting a ton of airplay right now and is a beautifully written selection.
What is a fun music inspired suggestion for couples to incorporate in their wedding day?
Collect the “first dance” songs of the couples attending your wedding. Play those selections throughout dinner and possibly give recognition to the couple when their song is being played. Or perhaps request from your guests by including this little note in your invitations: “What two songs will get you on the dancefloor?” Both are great ways of including your guests in the fun during your reception.
What is your advice on additional lighting options?
Lighting such as up-lighting and monograms can absolutely transform a room. It’s a cost effective, powerful compliment and when used effectively, can enhance the architectural features within a room or display and accent your primary wedding colors. You can find great examples of how custom lighting options can creatively illuminate a room by visiting our lighting page at: http://www.djmobilemix.com/lighting.html
What is the best tip you can give to your brides and grooms?
Interview your vendors as if you were their employer. Make sure there’s great chemistry and compatibility when you meet. You will be working with this vendor typically for a year or more while planning your wedding. When you hire quality, you can expect a higher level of service which typically means better outcomes and less concern. You will become amazingly confident that your wedding will be a success even before the day arrives because you trust is the skills, talent and professional expertise of your vendors. That feeling is truly priceless as anything less only clouds you from enjoying your wedding to the fullest.
What is your favorite ‘burgh wedding tradition?
The cookie table hands down! You just don’t see this in weddings outside of Western Pennsylvania!
Share one of your most memorable moments while serving a wedding.
I was DJ’ing a wedding at a Historic hotel & resort. The second floor ballroom where the reception took place sat directly above a first floor dining room. With the dancefloor packed and actually “bouncing”, the crystals began falling from the chandeliers in the dining room below. The banquet manager asked if there was anything I could do…all I could kindly respond was “I’m sorry!”
What is your most important lesson learned from your own wedding?
Truly savor every moment, the night goes by so quickly!
