PAWcasso!

Bidding for the one of a kind “paw” artwork was fierce among attendees of the PAWcasso event held to benefit The Butler County Humane Society.  Every color scheme, paw size and art inspiration was available within this amazing animal art colection.   Local schools also donated original “Cat’s Pajamas” custom designed T-shirts that sold briskly.

Guests of the event enjoyed appetizers hand butlered on picture frames and paint palettes to compliment the art theme, chef attended action stations and a canine themed dessert display.  Menu components included:

A grazing station:

Hot parmesan artichoke dip with tortilla chips and pitas

Organic Vegetable Crudite with dips

Tomato Bruschetta with herbed crostini

Hand Carried Appetizer Selections:

Bacon wrapped waterchesnuts with sesame ginger and barbecue dipping sauces

Chicken Satay skewers with teriyaki and thai peanut dipping sauces

Stuffed mini new potatoes with chive, sour cream, cheddar and bacon

Soup shots- Mushroom Bisque and Butternut Squash

Seafood Action Station:

Lobster salad with watercress on English cucumber crisps

Crabcake cosmopolitans

Shrimp cocktail shooters

Chef prepared Shrimp Rockefeller Skewers in compound garlic butter with fresh spinach and bacon

Pasta Action Station: (chef prepared)

Three Cheese Tortellini with fresh spinach, basil pesto and grated pecorino cheese

Penne Alfredo Primavera with organic peppers, onions and mushrooms

Canine Raspberry Creme brulee
