Parisian Nuptials
July 18, 2010
With a lifesize eiffel tower, fleur de lis wine stopper favors, and a fleur de lis accented wedding cake, Michigan residents Melissa and David Himich celebrated their nuptials in Parisian style.
The tented decor at The Buhl Mansion featured white garden chairs with accents of light blue sashes, floor length table linens with a blue satin table runner, silver charger plates and fleur de lis escort card holders.
The wedding cake, created by Jody, was accented with hand cut fleur de lis embellishments, along with Swarovski crystals in a hexagon shape and topped with a monogram provided by the bride. The flavor profile of wedding white with fresh berries and custard, and chocolate fudge with chocolate chunky turtle was perfect for the hot July weather. The bride and groom opted for Khalua with khalua hazelnut creme for their anniversary tier.
Guests noshed on appetizers of shrimp cocktail shooters, grilled chicken satays with sesame ginger dipping sauce, and feta with sundried tomato in phyllo butlered by JPC event staff while enjoying champagne in the gardens. Dinner service was comprised of a seated apple, pecan mesculan salad, and a plated dinner of grilled filet mignon with bernaise sauce, asiago whipped yukon gold potatoes and fresh steamed broccoli and carrots.
JPC culinary staff braved the heat of the grill on this 90 degree day to produce a savory grilled meal.
Congratulations to Melissa and Dave from the JPC staff.
