Experience the Magic of Rustic Acres Farm Spring Open House
May 26, 2015
Love was in the air at Rustic Acres on Sunday May 3rd for Weddings by JPC’s Spring Open House. The beautiful 75-degree sunny spring day was the icing on the cake for this exquisite event at Rustic Acres Farm.
As guests arrived, the happy couples and their loved ones were greeted by the enchanting entrance to the grounds of Rustic Acres Farm. From blue skies to our beloved horses, Emme and Murphy, grazing in the fields, Rustic Acres was ready to greet its guests in all of its beauty.
The owners and groundkeepers of Rustic Acres Farm worked tirelessly throughout the winter months to add even more amenities to this magical venue, with the needs of brides, grooms, and guests specifically in mind.
What’s new at Rustic Acres?
Take a stroll down the wide plank barn wood staircase holding onto the iron railing as you make your way down to the new renovated downstairs area. This space lends itself to cool post-reception cocktail hours, an intimate gathering spot for guests and even a unique place for a memorable rehearsal dinner.
The bridal cottage, which serves as the pre-ceremony bridal prep-suite and a quiet place for brides and grooms to relax and kick their feet up, underwent a substantial renovation as well. The new floors, full length mirrors and plans for a complete bridal vanity area are coming to life and will be ready wedding-ready this Spring.
Farm to Fork Cuisine
Guests were treated to an array of savory Farm to Fork cuisine. Delightful bites were presented by charming event staff in blue and white gingham style shirts and crisp cool denim aprons. The guests were met with beaming smiles and fun conversation, while being presented unique and playful passed hors d’ oeuvres like the smoked chicken nachos with fresh salsa and guacamole served in large copper pipes, wild mushroom risotto bites with a balsamic creama served on a wooden tray and delectable roasted red pepper bisque served in an expresso shot mug topped off with a cheese straw, to name a few. JPC’s catering division’s commitment to freshness is apparent in every aspect of preparation!
The Local Pairing Chef Tasting Bar mesmerized guests and quickly became the place to be. The glittering bar set-up created a thrilling way to pair mini cocktails with delectable bites like spiced apple with prosciutto and watercress pared with whiskey old fashioned shot or parmesan grougere with goat cheese and house rhubarb marmalade paired with Pinot Grigio.
A sweet day was matched with the sweetest of treats. The donut and popcorn stations created playful vibes that surely set the tone for a day of whimsical wedding delights. The donut station displayed a variety of ways to present this hot 2015 wedding and event trend, from donut cones, to specialty varieties like Maple Bacon, to a donut flambé station! The serve yourself popcorn station had something for every taste; from the simply scrumptious birthday cake flavored popcorn to the decadent Nutella popcorn, guests grabbed a specially stamped custom brown bag and prepared to tour the Farm with gourmet snacks in hand!

The Decor & Furnishings
As soon as you arrived to the barn you were greeted by Garnish Event Design team’s stunning masterpiece. From the lush floral arrangements to the antique furniture and velvet settees, Garnish Event Design created an enchanting atmosphere.
Floating frames dripping with flowers, yards of verdant garland, chandeliers juxtaposed against rustic beams and natural elements had the entire venue sparkling and dancing with subtle color and beautiful light.

The weeping willow ceremony sight combined an antique mantel with vibrant green ferns and foliage, while bright silver candle sticks and ultra-modern orbs brought a sense of current chic to the setting. A glittering chandelier hung from the branches of the weeping willow tree over the scene, while Steven Vance of Strolling Violins serenaded guests.
The Entertainment
As guests were touring the venue, they were treated to an array of talented entertainment. On the covered wrap around deck, Jason Flores of A Little Guilty live painted a beautiful masterpiece to commemorate the day. Inside, Dave of mobileMIX was supplying everyone with the best wedding mixes that heightened the celebratory atmosphere and lighting that helped transition the barn from an ethereal gathering to a transcendent nighttime dance party.
Fashion & Beauty
To set the theme, bridal model waltzed around the Spring Open House dressed by Ann Gregory & Glitter and Grit. The dresses fluttered in the natural breeze and the bride & groom were as radiant as if it was the actual “Dig Day”. The bridal model’s hair and make-up were done by Hannah Conard Beauty. Even in on a warm sunny day, our beautiful model looked as fresh and fabulous as when Hannah & team started.
Hot local wedding photographer, Veronica Varos, was spotted capturing all the beautiful moments of The Spring Open House. We love Veronica’s incredible sensibility with light and color and her ability to truly capture emotion in a photograph.
