Employee Appreciation
April 16, 2010
Burgers, dogs, toasted cheese, tomato soup, bbq shortribs, mac and cheese, apple pie, root beer floats….how much more American can you get than that?! We had it all at the Butler County Chamber of Commerce Employee Appreciation luncheon held tax day Thursday, April 15th. We took patriotic inspired favorites, twisted them for some modern fun, and served up a delightful afternoon.
Serviced in a combination of hand carried, action station and buffet formats, the menu comprised the follow elements:
Hand butlered appetizers of:
mini gourmet burger sliders with cheese, pickle, bacon and more
Chicago style mini hot dogs
Mini Toasted cheese on brioche with tomato basil soup shots
Mini Shepherds pies/Mini lobster pot pies
Organic Interactive Salad Station
Mashed Potato Station with fresh herbs, cheeses, bacon, chilli and more
Buffet of Gourmet Mac n Cheese combinations like sundried tomato, fresh spinach and feta
Kansas City Barbecued Braised boneless shortribs
Dessert Action Station of mini rootbeer floats, ice cream sundaes with a fun selection of toppings, and miniature pies of apple, blueberry and lemon merinque
And we didn’t forget the popcorn and peanuts either! Guests were given our “Pantry Popcorn” as they left– A wonderful Grandma recipe of caramel sauce over freshly popped popcorn and sea salted Virginia peanuts. YUMMY!
