Down the rabbithole

A fantasy wonderland recently came to life at Rustic Acres Farm in the form of an Alice in Wonderland inspired fetè! This whimsical client concept was brought to life through luxe décor, handmade art, and personal touches from the draped purple tassel garland to the gourmet menu fit for the Queen of Hearts!

Entering down the rabbithole, guests passed dreamy vines, ivy, ornamental kale and hidden keys to set the scene for a magical celebration to honor a recent graduate as she embarks upon her new path to college. The beautiful lush farm grounds of Rustic Acres Farm served as the perfect setting for this magical celebration, complete with whimsical florals and decor by Garnish Event Design and illustrations of her favorite quotes from the book by Jason Flores of A Little Guilty.

Personalized details such as the recent graduates favorite colors of purple and green were utilized throughout the decor. A custom display of her honorary pins and cords, cap and gown, prom queen crown, band uniform hat, as well as other items were artfully displayed on the antique dresser, showcasing her stellar academic achievements.

The menu was carefully crafted to fit the grad’s favorite cuisine and included plenty of gourmet options such as southwest chicken gutter nachos with house guacamole, cilantro lime sour cream, pico de gallo and the quintessential macaroni and cheese cupcake bites. The magical atmosphere was enhanced with chef performance stations, and our talented Savor chefs served gourmet barbecue inspired freshly prepared dishes such as southern style pulled pork with coleslaw and crispy onions, BBQ ribs, elote style corn on the cob, grilled Tuscan style vegetables and watermelon feta mason jar salad, just to name a few!

The event was complete with a mocktail bar that served refreshing Alice in Wonderland themed drinks such as The Queen of Hearts, The Cheshire Cat, The Mock Turtle, and The Mad Hatter.

Handcrafted cherry pie pops, southern pecan mini mason jar pies, and our famous coconut cream and wild Maine blueberry pies completed the pie display and provided more than just a feast for the eyes. An ice cream cart served her three favorite flavors, cotton candy explosion, blackberry and cookies and cream.

A cotton candy station served grape and lime flavored cotton candy spun by hand to complete the dreamy offering of sweet treats.
