Ballroom Beauty

August 23, 2010

Ann, a classic traditionalist, envisioned an evening filled with timeless details, and classic ballroom elegance for her marriage celebration to Daniel.  The perfect location for such a fete was secured in the ballroom of Stambaugh Auditorium, one of our preferred venues.  Electing for crisp white linens, accented by golden charger plates and chiavari chairs, the tables were a case study in refinement and sophistication.  White florals in a mixture of high and low concepts created by The Flower Loft added cultivated charm to the tablescapes.

A bridal sweetheart table was utilized for Ann for Daniel, and the grand piano was placed in the ballroom for enjoyment during dinner service.

After the ceremony performed in the Anne Christman Hall on the third floor of Stambaugh, guests descended to the ballroom lobby and gardens for appetizers and cocktails.  A Spiced Sangria was served along with JPC staff butlered specialties of asparagus with asiago in phyllo, french onion soup boule, and coconut shrimp with cocktail sauce.

The doors were then opened to a ballroom swathed in candelight, beckoning the guests to enter and prepare for a delicious meal.  Dinner service began with the JPC salad-tini performance stations, and then continued with a prime rib chef attended carving station, and a traditional buffet of Florentine Asiago crusted Tilapia, haricot verts with red pepper strips and herbs, yukon gold whipped potatoes with asiago, and farfalle with sundried tomato, organic spinach and fresh mozzarella in a pino grigio reduction.

The wedding cake was created by Jody in rolled white chocolate fondant accented by spiced wine colored hydrangea blossoms hand created from gumpaste.  The flavor profile was champagne white with fresh fruit and creme, chocolate fudge with snickers and caramel, and cherry studded white cake with cherry cream cheese.  Guests also enjoyed a JPC cookie display featuring our gourmet baked goods like french macaroons, coffee lovers petite fours, cheesecake pops with pistachio garnish, baklava, biscottis, lemon squares, ladilocks and so many more delicious selections.

Dining, dancing to the services of Brian Ladd Productions, and celebrating Ann and Daniel’s new life together rounded out an amazing evening.

Congratulations and much happiness to Ann and Daniel from the JPC Event Staff!  Thank you for the opportunity to play a part in such a special day in your lifetime!
