A Sweet Holiday!
May 15, 2015
Chocolate lovers rejoice- today is national Chocolate Chip Day!
Fun fact- the chocolate chip was invented by Ruth Wakefield of the Toll House Inn by accident! As the story goes, Ruth ran out of baker’s chocolate while whipping up a batch of her favorite cookies and substituted a semi-sweet chocolate bar cut up into bits. Unlike the baker’s chocolate, the chopped up chocolate bar did not melt completely, and resulted in the world’s first batch of chocolate chip cookies!
These heavenly bits have since become one of America’s favorite ingredients. At JPC Event Group we love to create just the perfect ending for your special event so that your guests depart with a sugar-induced smile on their face and sweet memories of the occasion. We are committed to using the best ingredients and making everything from scratch so when baking, we mostly use Valrhona Chocolate blocks and chunks for our cookies, brownies, mousse and other chocolate items.
