A Mattress Factory Wedding
May 24, 2011
Contemporary art, antique box springs, a lush garden, and modern interior spaces await you at Mattress Factory in Pittsburgh- one our favorite select venues!

Situated in a lovely neighborhood on Sampsonia Way, the Mattress Factory is a museum of contemporary art that exhibits room-sized works called installations. Created on site by artists from across the country and around the world, their unique exhibitions feature a variety of media that engage all of the senses.

The lovely garden spaces contain installations of art and a unique water feature that adds tranquil sounds to the outdoor spaces.

It was our pleasure to work with Annette Palmiero of Lost In This Moment, and Gina D’Amico of Mattress Factory on this event. Our teams worked seamlessly together to create an inviting event scape with JPC providing the linens, tables-chairs-equipment, bartending services, and culinary services.

Tabitha and Ed chose to feauture appetizers and their bar service in the gardens with guest seating and a dance floor inside the modern open museum lobby space.

A Tuscan table of crusty rosemary foccacia and rustic breads with dipping oils and balsamic reduction, imported olive selections, tomato bruschetta with herb and parmesan crostini, and caprese skewers with fresh basil and mozzarella greeted guests as they arrived.
A small plate meal of ecelectic cuisines was served with chef attendants in the museum cafe space– deconstructed caesar salads, mediteranean chicken and fig skewers, herb roasted beef tenderloin, sea salt fingerling potatoes, fresh steamed crowns of broccoli and petite organic carrots, three cheese crepe style manicotti, pulled pork sliders on brioche rolls, bubbling skillets of parmesan artichoke dip and mini crabcake martinis were among the array of menu items.

Amethyst and Purple uplighting washed over the white brick walls in the space with a custom Pittsburgh city image gobo. Guests toasted, celebrated, dined and danced in modern style.

Much happiness and congratulations to Tabby and Ed for a lifetime of love from JPC Event Group!
