A touch of elegance

The 2015 Pantone Color of the Year is Marsala. This dark red is usually associated with fall and winter seasons and can be a very versatile wedding color when paired with complementary colors or neutrals. Marsala pairs beautifully with a number of colors and is a daring tone for fall. With its distinctly Autumnal feel, it naturally evokes warmth, richness and sophistication. This rich jewel tone can add a luxe to any wedding day detail when integrated with other earthy tones and metallic like gold. “Marsala enriches our mind, body and soul, exuding confidence and stability,” said Leatrice Eiseman, executive director of the Pantone Color Institute.
When it comes to wedding flowers, peonies and dahlias grow naturally in this dark red hue, and these big-headed blooms evoke a romantic quality. We especially love them layered with eucalyptus leaves! Add elegance to your wedding by incorporating this rich and welcoming hue in accent pieces, linens and accessories, too.

Let this romantic shade inspire your wedding day décor! We have put together a few of our favorite looks featuring Marsala florals, tablescape and more to help give you some ideas!
