  • JPC Announces Brides Choice 2010 Award

Jody's Pantry Catering is excited to announce that we have been chosen to receive the Bride's Choice 2010 Award

This award recognizes the top 5 percent of local wedding professionals from Martha Stewart's WeddingWire Network who demonstrate excellence in quality, service and professionalism.  The Bride's Choice Awards are determined exclusively by recent newlyweds through extensive surveys and reviews, which means our past clients have spoken on our behalf and selected us to receive this honor.

Thank you to all of the newly married couples that supported us with their votes and great reviews! We truly appreciate your loyalty.

  • JPC Announces Finalist Status for ACE Awards 1.6.2010

Jody’s Pantry Catering announced this week that it has been chosen as one of five finalists in the 2010 Achievement in Catering Excellence Awards for the East Coast Region Caterer of the Year.

The annual ACE Awards recognize companies that have shown noteworthy achievement in the catering industry through culinary, business, community and professional development. Five winners are chosen each year to represent the best of the best in each of five geographic regions:  Midwest, South, East, West and International.
To be recognized for this honor a company must:
  • Maintain the highest standard of ethical and moral behavior,
  • demonstrate innovative strategies,
  • have made an impact on their catering marketplaces, and
  • demonstrate a sense of civic duty through voluntary involvement in charitable events.
The awards are sponsored by Catersource, America’s leading national publication for catering professionals. Winners will be announced March 8, 2010 in Las Vegas during the opening ceremonies of the 2010 Catersource Event Solutions Conference and Tradeshow- an international event attended by over 4,000 catering professionals.

We are honored as a company to receive this recognition, and thank our loyal patrons and venue affiliates for thier support and continued patronage.

  • JPC Announces Venue Updates 1.1.2010

For those brides seeking our services at The Atrium facility, the ownership of Jody's Pantry Catering has exercised the option to discontinue our association with that venue in order to accept new catering venues, and our services there will cease as of November 1, 2010.  We will continue to service those 2010 couples currently reserved for the Lily and Orchid packages with our best catering and wedding cake services, with no disruption in quality or dedication.   We look forward to meeting with those couples personally for menu planning and wedding cake selection.

  • JPC Announces Facility Remodel Progress:

Many exciting changes have taken place at the JPC corporate offices.

On the outside: a new exterior paint job is 90% completed (Thank you R & H Painting of Hermitage), and currently an updated front porch entrance is being installed with radiant heated sidewalks that will feature side pergolas and field stone work-- new front doors are also in the works the next few weeks, along with new signage scheduled for spring installation.

On the inside:  our bridal tasting room has been elegantly remodeled, along with the event specialist offices.  The entry hall has received new word flooring, chandeliers and a fresh paint job.  Jody's cake studio has been completely remodeled for effeciency and storage, and she is greatly enjoying that. (see our blog for more information on that amazing transformation.)  The executive offices have also been remodeled and updated.

Currently in the works:  the hot kitchen is being refurbished with a new layout, new energy efficient windows and doors, tiled flooring is being installed, walls and ceilings are being redrywalled, and our current walk in cooler (circa 1947) is being ripped out.  A new walkin cooler/freezer unit has been installed outside and an entry way from the building will be cut to it.

Next up:  The main dining room facility is scheduled to receive an overhaul and will be reopened for events servicing up to 90 guests seated and 125 cocktail style.  Round tables have been purchased to replace the older Village Inn square tables!  Chandeliers will be replaced, a coordinating paint job and some exciting decor updates.

We look forward to the completion of our projects to bring a more refined experience to our clients, and we hope that you will consider our facility for your upcoming showers, anniversary parties, rehearsal dinners, corporate mixers, and other events!
