Stunning Stations

Amanda and Chad Evans hosted an elegant and food-fantastic reception at Buhl Mansion Saturday July 31st!  With navy blue and ivory decor accented by florals of lilies and delphinium, the color scheme was offset in a stunning way against the green of the mansion gardens.  And the weather was perfectly balmy and comfortable for an outdoor wedding in July.

A little afternoon sprinkle sent the appetizer display scurrying under the Mansion portico, but it quickly passed allowing for appetizers and champagne in the gardens.  Chad and Amanda chose our Grecian appetizer display with greek salad skewers accented with a drizzle of balsamic reduction, spanakopeta triangles and creamy parmesan artichoke dip with tortilla and pitas.  JPC event staff also hand butlered lobster phyllo rolls and raspberry, brie and almond in phyllo through the gardens.  A savory way to commence an evening of great food and memories.

After photos the bridal party lined up for announcements, and then we were off to the stations.  Dinner service commenced with the Salad-tini action station attended by JPC event staff.  Organic vegetables and fruits, nuts, cheeses and an array of fine housemade dressings were shaken in martini shakers by our trained salad "mixologists" and served up in martini stems for the guests enjoyment.

Next up...the doors to the carriage house were opened, and the food station array began.  Guests enjoyed our chef attended pasta station with our famous JPC Alfredo Primavera and our organic spinach, sundried tomato and fresh mozzarella farfalle with pinot grigio reduction.

Then they were treated to a carving station of slow roasted prime rib with au jus and chicken roulade stuffed with baby spinach, artichoke hearts and parmesan cheese in a white wine sauce.

But the hit of the evening was the mashed potato bar-- featuring sweet mashed potatoes and yukon gold mashed potatoes with an amazing array of toppings.  From marshmellow creme and caramel to coconut and orange marmalade the sweet potatoes were well outfitted.  And not to be undone, chilli and green onions, asiago cheese and bacon crumbles were waiting to top the yukon mashed.

The wedding cake was an icon of traditional elegance.  Enrobed in ivory white chocolate fondant with ornate piping and flourishes, Jody created a stunning replica of a Wendy Kromer cake featured in Martha Stewart's Weddings.  Guests enjoyed the wedding white cake with raspberry puree filling, and an edible "E" monogram piped in raspberry coulis.

To round out the evening, guests danced, enjoyed the wedding cake, and celebrated the nuptials of Chad and Amanda in castle style.

Congratulations to Amanda and Chad from the JPC Event Group!  Thank you for being such an amazing and gracious couple to work with-- we enjoyed EVERY minute!  A lifetime of happiness to you both.
